// For a long time, the coast rescuers of the whole world noted the date on their diary. They will go to Berlin, of July 20 to August 3, to dispute the Rescue 2008. Berlin on plain water and Warnemünde (Baltic sea), for the coastal challenge, will be the sites of the World Life Saving Championships. The show is about to be great. Nearly one hundred clubs will be part of this competition, after a fi rst selection between thirty national teams. The European athletes will try to compete with those of the southern hemisphere, the Australians and the New Zealanders at first rank, favourites of this championship. Let us wish the World Life Saving Championship will help to expand the Life Saving in Europe. We devote several pages to this event, dedicated to Flora Manciet, who symbolizes the ambitions of the French team and the rescuers of the northern hemisphere.
The paddleboard takes a good place in this summer issue. It’s logical because the “long distance races” will urge the European coasts, as well as the Hawaians sport festivals and others bodysurf sessions.
